Job summary

Cognizant in Bengaluru is seeking an Endpoint Windows Engineer to manage OS onboarding, imaging, and patching for Windows and Linux endpoints. You will support plant IT, hardware, network, and security tasks, ensuring uptime and compliance across manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include SCCM/MECM patch management, AD administration, software deployment, and remote support. A blend of on-site maintenance, vendor coordination, and incident response is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Linux and Windows endpoints and imaging processes.
• Hands-on with AD/Identity management and patching workflows.
• Strong SCCM/MECM patch management and software deployment knowledge.
• Familiarity with endpoint security tools, vulnerability remediation, and access control.
• Experience supporting manufacturing/plant IT environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage OS onboarding, imaging, and patching for Windows/Linux endpoints.
• Provide hardware, printer, and workplace IT support in plant environments.
• Handle networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN issues.
• Support plant IT including RFID devices, IoT sensors, and time clocks.
• Maintain virtualization infrastructure and server maintenance tasks.
• Implement security/compliance controls and incident response.
• Utilize tools like SCCM/MECM, RealVNC/RDP, ServiceNow, and monitoring systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and document IT processes.
