Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a hardware engineer to drive high-speed, low-power modem design across 4nm/5nm/7nm nodes. You will own synthesis, formal verification, and power integrity tasks, collaborating with RTL, DFT and PD teams globally to move designs from Post-RTL to Netlist releases.

The role demands strong fundamentals in microarchitecture, circuit design, and process technology, plus experience with UPF power intent and advanced place-and-route tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE with 3+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Master's degree in CS/EE with 2+ years hardware engineering experience.
• PhD in CS/EE with 1+ year hardware engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• High-speed and Low-power 5G and WLAN Modem Hardmacro Implementation Lead
• Lead, train and mentor team of junior engineers on a large modem design
• Collaborate with RTL, DFT and PD leads to move from Post-RTL to Netlist release and optimize area, timing, power and testability
• Write timing constraints and perform synthesis, formal verification, CLP, Primetime, PTPX, CECO
• Optimize datapath design for low-area, low-power, high-speed using MCMM, SAIF, multibit mapping
• Optimize PPA using tool options and stdcell libraries/memories
• Handle complex digital blocks with >1M gates in advanced process nodes (4nm/5nm/7nm/8nm)
