Wit Hunt in Pune, India seeks a procurement professional to coordinate requisitions from the Design Department, manage BOQ updates, evaluate quotations, and negotiate terms with suppliers for timely delivery and compliant quality.

The role involves maintaining records, issuance of purchase orders, tracking shipments, and liaising with designers, project managers, and tendering teams to ensure economical procurement and project success.

Responsibilities

• Identification of all requirements in requisition for purchase issued by Design Department.
• Maintain the BOQ with updates from suppliers until after awarding the contract.
• Receiving the price quotations (competitive quotes).
• Prepare schedule of comparison.
• Reiterate with designers and suppliers for finalization of quantity and quality.
• Establish delivery terms, time and stages of inspection for the supply with Project Management Team.
• Ensure that all potential suppliers are provided with identical information for fair quotations.
• Negotiate best payment terms and contract conditions with integrity.
• Keep accurate records to justify the process and related decisions.
• Issuance of Purchase order.
• Tracking and expediting of Shipment.
• Handle Delivery and inspection of items; assist in Insurance claims, if any.
• Storage and handling on site, prior to use, during installation and commissioning and closure of surplus/defective materials.
• Client acceptance/rejection, warranties and related follow up with supplier till project completion.
• Keep updated with market developments and assist in Vendor Development.
• Regularly train on company development programs.
• Report on budget versus actual performance on a project basis.
• Arrange and participate in meetings between suppliers and Company engineers for standardization and economical procurement.
• Assist Tendering and Costing Department as required.
