Job summary

EXL in Gurugram is seeking a Business Data Analyst with 3-6 years of experience to work on large-scale data applications, including data analytics, mapping, and transformations.

The role involves engaging with client SMEs, performing data profiling, and ensuring data quality across systems; solid SQL and insurance domain understanding are required.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of work experience in large-scale Data applications performing analytics, mapping, and transformations.
• Experience in Snowflake, relational databases, and requirements gathering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and tracking skills.
• SQL proficiency.
• Exposure to data consolidation, transformation, and standardization.
• Experience with Insurance (P&C) domain, policy and claims lifecycle and reinsurance.
• Ability to integrate quickly into the team and work independently toward goals.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between the technical and business teams.
• Connect with Client SMEs to understand functionality, data.
• Perform data profiling to assess data quality and identify critical elements; standardize reference and master data across systems.
• Work on data mapping, data lineage docs, data models, and design docs to help stakeholders understand mappings and transformations.

Must-Have

3-6 years of work experience in large-scale Data applications doing Data Analysis, Data Mapping, and Data Transformations.

• Experience in Snowflake, Any relational DB , requirements gathering
• Very good Verbal & Written communication & tracking skills
• SQL
• Should have exposure to data consolidation, transformation, and standardization
• Experience with Insurance (Property and Casualty Insurance - P&C) Domain clients. Policy & Claims lifecycle and reinsurance business is a must.
