Job summary

Auma in Bengaluru, India is seeking a qualified engineer to design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions. The role requires knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T and engineering drawings, with hands-on CAD drawing responsibilities using AutoCAD or ZWCAD.

The candidate will coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams, conduct fixture trials and validation, and drive cycle time reduction and cost optimization while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in jig, fixture, tooling or manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions.
• Prepare 2D manufacturing and assembly drawings using AutoCAD/ZWCAD.
• Develop cost effective fixture concepts based on drawings and process requirements.
• Apply locating, clamping, and datum selection principles.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Conduct fixture trials, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Improve existing fixtures for productivity, quality, and safety.
• Prepare BOMs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for fixture fabrication and commissioning.
• Review vendor drawings and monitor project progress.
• Support NPI and process improvement activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive cycle time reduction and cost optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality, engineering, and safety standards.
