Job summary

NexTurn is seeking a seasoned application developer to design, develop, and maintain WebSmart-based applications on IBM i / AS400. You will analyze business requirements, translate them into technical designs, and support backend logic with DB2/400 and SQL.

Role emphasizes debugging, production support, and collaboration with diverse teams, while adhering to coding standards and security practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in application development and support.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain WebSmart-based applications on IBM i / AS400.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions.
• Develop and support backend logic, business rules, and database-driven web applications.
• Work extensively with DB2/400, SQL, and IBM i objects.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and support release activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams.
• Maintain documentation for technical designs, code changes, and support processes.
• Support application enhancements, performance tuning, and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices.
