Job summary

Aspora seeks an Operations Lead to own the Digital Gold business end-to-end across UK and UAE, ensuring smooth order execution, settlement, redemptions, and reporting. You will reconcile holdings, resolve breaks, and manage partner relationships, using AI to automate repetitive tasks and scale as the business grows.

Ideal candidates excel at data analysis, dispute resolution, and building SOPs, with a track record of owning an ops function solo and coordinating with international partners.

About the Role

Aspora's Digital Gold product lets NRIs buy, hold and redeem gold across borders. We've launched in the UK and UAE with a partner in each market and we're expanding. You'll own operations for this business end-to-end — no one above you, no one below you.

You keep transactions flowing, reconciliations clean, escalations closed, and partners aligned and you do it AI-first: using AI to process data, automate the repetitive work and run several flows at once. As the business grows, this can grow into a broader role across Wealth and beyond.

What You’ll Own

• Run end-to-end operations for Digital Gold across the UK and UAE — order execution, settlement, redemptions and reporting.
• Reconcile gold holdings and transactions across internal systems and partner platforms; investigate and close breaks fast.
• Own escalations and user disputes from first flag to root-cause and closure.
• Be the operational point of contact for the UK/UAE partners and manage partner transactions.
• Handle chargeback and payment-dispute cases (evidence, representment, prevention) and compliance-linked cases (KYC/AML,jurisdictional requirements) alongside Compliance.
• Build AI-driven automations and SOPs so all of this scales without adding headcount.
• Monitor dashboards for anomalies and delays, drive fixes with product and engineering, and stand up operations for new markets as we expand.

Who You Are

• AI-first by default — you already lean on AI (LLMs, automation tools) to process data, draft, and strip out manual steps. This is the core of the role, not a bonus.
• Genuine end-to-end ownership — comfortable being the only person on the function, setting your own priorities, and running it like your own business.
• A track record of owning operations — we care more about what you've actually run and shipped than years on paper.
• Having run a function solo counts double.
• Strong with data - SQL and/or spreadsheets, dashboards, and reconciliation logic.
• Sharp on transaction lifecycles, reconciliations, disputes/chargebacks, and partner coordination.
• Calm and precise under time-sensitive, money-movement pressure.
• Strong Advantages of exposure to gold, commodities, or precious metals products. Worked across UK and/or UAE financial regulation. Have built your own automations or scripts (even lightweight) to replace manual ops.
