Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Senior Supervisor - Operations to oversee day-to-day warehouse activities at the onsite site in Hoskote / Bengaluru. You will supervise inbound, outbound, inventory, and value-added services, ensuring accuracy and safety while meeting customer requirements and productivity targets.

You will lead warehouse staff, monitor attendance and performance, ensure SOP compliance, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience in WMS, SAP, or similar warehouse systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations including inbound, outbound and VAS activities.
• Ensure timely completion of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory transactions.
• Monitor productivity and throughput against defined targets.
• Ensure adherence to customer SOPs and operational procedures.
• Lead and manage warehouse associates and floor staff.
• Allocate manpower effectively based on priorities.
• Prepare daily operational reports and KPI dashboards.

Qualifications

Job Purpose:

To supervise day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient execution of inbound, outbound, inventory, and value-added services while meeting customer requirements, productivity targets, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Supervise daily warehouse operations including inbound, outbound and VAS activities. Ensure timely completion of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory transactions. Monitor productivity and throughput against defined targets. Ensure adherence to customer SOPs and operational procedures.

Team Management

Lead and manage warehouse associates and floor staff. Allocate manpower effectively based on operational priorities. Conduct daily briefings and shift handovers. Monitor attendance, discipline, and employee performance.

Customer Service & Compliance

Ensure customer SLAs and KPIs are achieved. Support customer visits, audits, and operational reviews. Maintain documentation and records as per contractual requirements.

Safety & Quality

Ensure compliance with safety standards and warehouse regulations. Conduct regular safety observations and toolbox talks. Support 5S implementation and continuous improvement initiatives. Drive a zero-incident and zero-damage culture.

Reporting & MIS

Prepare daily operational reports and KPI dashboards. Track productivity, throughput, attendance, OT, and service levels. Escalate operational issues and risks to management in a timely manner.
