Job summary

UTSAVGIRI in Chennai is seeking a Production Operator (Winding & Assembly) to join the Factory Floor team. You will handle coil winding, insulation, core fitting, and lead preparation, with daily records and packing duties.

No degree is required—10th/12th pass or ITI are acceptable, and 0–3 years of factory experience is ideal. You will work on automatic winding machines, practice safe handling of small parts, and contribute to quality checks.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in a factory/assembly setting; freshers welcome.
• Ability to read basic numbers and part codes from job cards.
• Willingness to follow safety practices and learn processes.

Responsibilities

• Coil winding: load copper wire and bobbins onto winding machines as per job card.
• Taping & sleeving: apply insulation tape and fit protective sleeves.
• Assembly & core fitting: assemble cores onto wound bobbins and secure structure.
• Lead prep & soldering: strip ends, terminate to terminals and solder as required.
• Basic quality check: inspect for defects like loose turns or misaligned parts.
• Packing & records: pack finished pieces and maintain daily production counts.

JOB OPENING: Production Operator (Winding & Assembly)

• Role: Production Operator / Assembly & Winding Operator
• Department: Factory Floor / Production
• Location: Chennai
• Education: 10th Pass, 12th Pass, or ITI (No degree required)
• Experience: 0 to 3 years in a factory or assembly setup (Freshers are welcome)

What We Make Electronic magnetic components like transformers, coils, and inductors used in power electronics, electric vehicles, and power supplies.
What You Will Do

• Coil Winding: Load copper wire and bobbins onto automatic winding machines; wind wire according to turns and sizes listed on the job card.
• Taping & Sleeving: Apply insulation tape neatly between wire layers and fit protective sleeves on wire leads.
• Assembly & Core Fitting: Assemble ferrite cores onto wound bobbins, fix clips or tape, and secure the transformer structure.
• Lead Preparation & Soldering: Strip wire ends, pin them to terminals, and perform dip-soldering or manual soldering.
• Basic Quality Check: Visually check for loose turns, cut wires, broken cores, or misaligned pins.
• Packing & Daily Records: Pack finished pieces into trays, keep the workstation clean, and record the daily count.
