Job summary

Amped is seeking a Trampoline & Soft Play Safety Technician to maintain activity areas, perform safety inspections, and ensure equipment is safe, clean, and operating correctly.

The role requires basic mechanical/maintenance skills, strong safety awareness, and physical fitness. Candidates should be able to work weekends and flexible shifts, document inspections, and support with installations and repairs.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical, maintenance, electrical, fabrication, or technical skills preferred.
• Good attention to detail and safety orientation.
• Ability to lift, climb, bend and work around play structures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections of trampoline, soft play, padding, netting, flooring, barriers, and related equipment.
• Identify damaged, loose, worn, or unsafe equipment and report or repair issues promptly.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Check trampoline springs, mats, frames, padding, nets, anchors, and connections.
• Inspect soft play structures for damage, hazards, and loose fittings.
• Maintain inspection, maintenance, and repair records.
• Coordinate with management on larger maintenance or replacement requirements.
• Assist with equipment installation, adjustments, and servicing.
• Respond quickly to safety concerns raised by staff or customers.

Amped is looking for a responsible, hands-on, and safety-focused Trampoline & Soft Play Safety Technician to help maintain our activity areas and ensure all equipment is safe, clean, and operating correctly.

This role is ideal for someone who is practical, observant, comfortable with basic maintenance work, and takes safety seriously.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections of trampoline, soft play, padding, netting, flooring, barriers, and related equipment
• Identify damaged, loose, worn, or unsafe equipment and report or repair issues promptly
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs
• Check trampoline springs, mats, frames, padding, nets, anchors, and connections
• Inspect soft play structures for damage, loose fittings, exposed edges, tears, and other hazards
• Ensure all activity areas meet Amped's internal safety standards before opening
• Maintain inspection, maintenance, and repair records
• Support opening and closing safety checks
• Coordinate with management on larger maintenance or replacement requirements
• Assist with equipment installation, adjustments, and periodic servicing
• Respond quickly to safety concerns raised by staff or customers
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free technical and play environment
• Follow all safety procedures and immediately remove unsafe equipment from use when required

Requirements

• Basic mechanical, maintenance, electrical, fabrication, or technical skills preferred
• Good attention to detail
• Strong understanding of workplace and customer safety
• Ability to identify potential hazards before they become serious issues
• Comfortable using basic hand tools
• Physically fit and able to lift, climb, bend, and work around play structures
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts when required
• Previous experience in trampoline parks, amusement centres, soft play facilities, maintenance, facilities management, or similar environments is preferred
