Position: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – Mathematics
Department: Academics
Reports To: Principal / Academic Coordinator
Location: RISHS International School, Chennai
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and competent TGT Mathematics to teach Mathematics to students at the secondary level. The candidate should be able to create an engaging learning environment, strengthen students' conceptual understanding, and support their academic and overall development in accordance with CBSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, assessments, and other learning resources.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using appropriate teaching methodologies and real-life applications.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide additional academic support where required.
- Conduct regular assessments and maintain accurate records of students' academic progress.
- Prepare students effectively for school examinations and CBSE board-oriented assessments.
- Encourage logical thinking, problem‑solving, analytical skills, and mathematical reasoning.
- Integrate appropriate technology and digital tools into classroom teaching.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide timely feedback to students and communicate academic progress to parents when required.
- Participate in parent‑teacher meetings, staff meetings, workshops, training programmes, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan academic activities and interdisciplinary learning.
- Maintain required academic records, student portfolios, and departmental documentation.
- Participate in Mathematics‑related competitions, clubs, exhibitions, and other co‑curricular activities.
- Follow all school policies, academic procedures, and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics / related discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE or reputed school preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics concepts and the CBSE curriculum.
- Good communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using technology and digital teaching resources.
