Job summary

IEM Public School is seeking a dedicated PGT Mathematics teacher to deliver CISCE/ICSE mathematics instruction for IX–XII and senior ICSE classes. The role requires designing engaging, concept-based lessons and assessments aligned with examination requirements.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, student evaluation, remedial support, and active participation in departmental activities to uphold high academic standards. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from a recognised university.
• B.Ed. is mandatory/preferred as per school requirements.
• Strong knowledge of the CISCE/ICSE/ISC curriculum.
• Good command of English communication and classroom presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics to Classes IX–XII (ISC) and, where required, senior classes under the ICSE curriculum.
• Plan and deliver engaging, concept-based lessons aligned with CISCE/ISC curriculum and examination requirements.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers, revision materials and other academic resources.
• Conduct regular assessments, evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students effectively for CISCE Board examinations, focusing on conceptual understanding, problem-solving and examination techniques.
• Maintain accurate academic records, assessment data and student progress reports.
• Identify learning gaps and provide remedial/enrichment support as required.
• Use appropriate teaching methodologies, digital resources and activity-based approaches to enhance learning.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, PTMs, workshops, school events and other assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic coordinators to maintain academic standards.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive and student-friendly classroom environment.
• Stay updated with CISCE curriculum changes, examination patterns, assessment practices and Mathematics pedagogy.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics from a recognised university.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience, preferably as a PGT Mathematics teacher.
• Prior experience in an ICSE/ISC/CISCE-affiliated school is highly preferred.
• Candidates with proven experience preparing students for ISC Board examinations will be given preference.
