Job summary

Glowtouch is hiring a Technical Support Engineer (Graduate Engineering Trainee) in Mangalore. You will work on website management, hosting, domains, and networking, and troubleshoot website, email, and DNS issues for international clients. You will interact with customers via live chat and learn technologies like HTML, WordPress, MySQL, PHP, cPanel, WHM, FTP, SMTP, DNS.

Immediate joining available. Shift: 9-hour rotational; interview mode: Face To Face.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MCA/MTech/BCA/BSc Computers/MSc Computers/BCom with Computers or equivalent
• Fresh graduates welcome
• Willing to learn networking, hosting, and website tech

Responsibilities

• Website management: knowledge of website creation using HTML, WordPress, MySQL and PHP; use of cPanel/WHM for hosting administration.
• Domain and email handling: manage domain registrations, email config, FTP, SMTP, and UNIX commands; troubleshoot DNS/email issues.
• Network protocols: learn and apply IP addressing, DNS, ping, tracert.
• Customer interaction: provide excellent international live chat support and up-sell where appropriate.
• Troubleshooting & problem solving: develop strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently.

Domain and Email Handling:

• Manage domain registration, email configuration, FTP, SMTP, and UNIX file handling commands.
• Troubleshoot common web and email errors, including 404, 500 errors, email bounce backs, and DNS issues.

Network Protocols:

• Learn and apply knowledge of network protocols, including IP addressing, DNS, ping, ipconfig, and tracert.

Customer Interaction:

• Provide excellent customer service to international clients through live chat, enhancing your experience by quickly resolving technical issues.
• Upsell/cross sell services where appropriate, leveraging strong communication and product knowledge.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

• Develop and apply strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently.
