Qualifications

Store Engineer

The Store Engineer is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring timely procurement of materials, maintaining accurate stock records, and optimizing storage processes. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, production teams, and quality control to ensure smooth material flow and efficient stock management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper documentation of inventory movements.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to prevent discrepancies.
• Implement best practices for inventory control and minimize wastage.

2. Procurement & Material Handling:

• Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of raw materials and spare parts.
• Ensure quality checks on incoming materials before storage.
• Optimize storage layout to facilitate easy access and efficient space utilization.

3. Store Operations & Documentation:

• Maintain records of goods received, issued, and returned.
• Generate and maintain inventory reports for management review.
• Implement and enforce SOPs for store operations.

4. Coordination with Production & Quality Teams:

• Work closely with the production team to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
• Liaise with the quality control team to address material defects and rejections.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in material storage.

Authorities:

• Authority to approve material requests and ensure proper issuance.
• Ability to coordinate with suppliers for procurement and deliveries.
• Responsibility to enforce inventory control measures and report discrepancies.
• Decision-making power on stock adjustments and storage optimization.
• Stock Control: Authority to approve and monitor material issuance and stock adjustments.
• Procurement Coordination: Power to coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for timely material replenishment.
• Inventory Optimization: Decision-making authority over storage methods, space utilization, and inventory control measures.
• Compliance & Safety Enforcement: Responsibility to enforce safety and regulatory requirements in warehouse operations.
• Reporting & Audits: Authority to conduct stock audits, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Vendor Interaction: Ability to liaise with vendors for material quality checks and timely deliveries.
• ERP & System Management: Authority to update and maintain accurate records in inventory management systems.

Qualifications & Experience:
