Job summary

VCare in Chennai, India invites a compassionate nurse to join our clinical team and deliver direct patient care under physician orders and the nursing plan.

You will assess physical condition and vital signs, monitor observations, administer medications and IV fluids, assist doctors during exams and emergencies, report changes promptly, and support admissions, transfers, discharges, and referrals.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical condition, vital signs, symptoms, and nursing care needs.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients as prescribed by the treating physician and nursing care plan.
• Monitor and record temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, pain score, and other relevant observations.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments in accordance with authorized orders and hospital protocols.
• Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, treatments, and emergency interventions.
• Identify and promptly report changes in a patient's condition to the treating physician and nursing supervisor.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, where applicable.
• Support patient admission, transfer, discharge, and referral procedures.
• Ensure timely escalation of critical conditions and participate in emergency response activities within the scope of competence.
