Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned SQL Server DBA to manage installation, upgrade, and maintenance tasks for SQL Server 2014/16/19 environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

This role covers backups, point-in-recovery, RAC, GoldenGate, Oracle 19c, and production support, including building automation with SQL Agent Jobs.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL Server 2014/2016/2019 installation and upgrade.
• Backup and restore skills with Point in Recovery.
• Experience in database version upgrades and maintenance.
• Create and schedule SQL Agent Jobs for maintenance and automation.
• RAC experience and production support.
• Knowledge of Oracle 19c and GoldenGate.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade SQL Server 2014/16/19 in production environments.
• Perform backups, restores, and point-in-time recoveries.
• Conduct database maintenance such as index rebuilds and re-orgs.
• Create and manage SQL Agent jobs for maintenance tasks.
• Provide RAC-enabled high-availability support.
• Utilize GoldenGate for data replication and integration.
