Job summary

Cloudxtreme is seeking an Oracle DBA for Hyderabad, working from office with 24x5 shift coverage. The role requires 3–5 years of Oracle DB experience, proficient in RAC on Windows, RMAN backups, Data Guard, and OEM 13c deployments. Licensing, patching, and on-call support are part of the responsibilities.

The candidate will manage production, development, and test databases across Linux/AIX, perform upgrades, tuning, and 24/7 support, ensuring high availability and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience in core Oracle database administration with 3 to 5 years
• Managing Oracle databases on UNIX and Windows servers
• Installation and configuration of Oracle 12c and higher databases for internal and external users
• Oracle database upgrades
• Oracle 12c data guard, BCP tests
• Installing and managing RAC on Windows
• High availability, performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup and recovery
• OEM 13c deployment and agents
• Database refreshes, migration, cloning, patching and upgrades
• Quarterly PSU patches on all databases using OEM/grid deployment procedures

• Proven experience in core Oracle database administration with 3 to 5 years of experience
• Proven experience on managing Oracle databases on UNIX and Windows servers
• Experience in installation and configuration of Oracle 12c and higher databases for internal and external users
• Experience on Oracle database upgrades
• Experience on Oracle 12c data guard, BCP tests
• Experience on installing and managing RAC on Windows is required
• Demonstrate in depth knowledge and experience of Oracle including high availability, performance tuning, trouble shooting, backup and recovery, RMAN, Export/Import and Data pump
• Experience on OEM 13c, installing and configuring OEM agents
• Experience on jobs scheduling through OEM
• Proven experience in Database refreshes, migration, cloning, patching and upgrades
• Experience in applying quarterly PSU patches on all the databases using manual methods and as well from OEM 13c deployment procedures
• Build and schedule UNIX/Windows based monitoring scripts
• Managing all databases like Critical production, development and test databases of different platforms like AIX, Linux and Windows etc
• Providing 24/7 on-call support
• Involved in applying the quarterly PSU patches to OMS, agents, CRS, ASM and databases using OEM grid deployment procedures, fleet maintenance and manual methods
• Create and maintaining physical standby database
• Involved in upgrading the 11gr2 databases to 12c, and to 19c
• Scheduled the RMAN backup jobs for RAC databases from OEM grid
• Monitoring and performing daily incremental backups, weekly backups using RMAN
• Cloning of production database to testing using RMAN
• Restored and recovered databases during major crashes using RMAN
• Performing Logical backups using Export utility and recovering specific object or schema using Import utility
• Knowledge on RAC
