Job summary

GIC electronic is urgently seeking an SMT Operator for its Production/SMT department in Pimpri, Pune. The role involves operating SMT machines, loading PCBs and BOMs, and ensuring quality while meeting daily production targets.

The ideal candidate will have 0–3 years of experience, basic knowledge of SMT/PCB assembly, and be willing to work in rotational shifts. Freshers with ITI/Diploma are encouraged to apply, with familiarity of Fuji, Yamaha, Juki, Panasonic, ASM being a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT machines including Solder Paste Printer, SPI, Pick & Place / Mounter, Reflow Oven and AOI.
• Load and verify PCB boards, component reels and feeders as per BOM.
• Perform machine setup, feeder loading and model changeover.
• Monitor machine operation, production output and machine alarms.
• Check component placement, solder paste printing and PCB quality.
• Identify defects such as missing components, wrong components, misalignment and soldering defects.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report major machine/process issues.
• Maintain production records, machine logs, rejection data and material consumption.
• Follow ESD, 5S, safety, quality and company SOP requirements.
• Handle electronic components, PCBs, solder paste, stencils and consumables carefully.
• Perform basic machine cleaning and operator-level preventive maintenance.
• Support daily production, quality and productivity targets.
