Job summary

Minmax Machinery Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Service Engineer to be the face of the company at customer sites.

You will oversee final testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of our packaging machines and SPMs, combining strong technical skills with excellent customer relations. Travel across regions is expected; diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics is required.

Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our growing team.

Job Overview

As a Service Engineer, you will be the face of our company at customer sites. You will be responsible for the final testing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of our packaging machines and SPMs. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical troubleshooting skills with excellent customer relations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Troubleshooting: Develop a deep understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems in our packaging machines. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical or electrical failures efficiently at the customer site.
• Final Pre-Dispatch Testing: Conduct rigorous final testing and quality checks of machines at our factory before they are dispatched to ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Installation & Commissioning: Supervise and execute the successful installation and commissioning of machinery at client factories, ensuring optimal performance from day one.
• Electrical Troubleshooting: Apply a solid baseline knowledge of industrial electrical components (such as wiring, sensors, relays, and motor drives) to identify and fix electrical faults.
• Customer Support & Communication: Function as the primary technical point of contact for clients. Explain technical issues clearly, guide them through solutions, and maintain a highly professional and supportive relationship.
• Client Training: Conduct hands-on training sessions for the customer's technical team and operators on safe machine operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Service Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed service logs, commissioning reports, and customer feedback documentation after every site visit.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Extensive Travel Flexibility: Must be highly comfortable with frequent travel across different regions for machine installations, routine servicing, and emergency breakdown calls.
• Education: Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Experience: 0 to 5 years of experience in the machinery industry.

• For Freshers: Must have strong foundational concepts in electrical/mechanical engineering and a high willingness to learn.
• For Experienced Candidates: Prior experience in assembling, testing, or servicing packaging machines or Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) will be a distinct advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Strong reading skills for electrical circuits and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems and basic automation/sensor logic.
• Soft Skills: Clear verbal communication skills (English, Hindi, and regional languages are a plus) and a patient, problem-solving mindset when dealing with demanding client situations.
