Job summary

Cicon Engineers is seeking a Safety Engineer to lead site safety at Bengaluru-based projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements.

You will conduct risk assessments, audits, inductions, and training; investigate incidents and drive corrective actions; oversee PPE use and safety reporting. Willingness to work on-site and coordinate with project teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Engineering with a Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction safety.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, OSHA standards, and construction safety.
• Experience in safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and training.
• Willingness to work at project sites.

Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and statutory regulations at project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify and eliminate hazards.
• Implement and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices across all construction activities.
• Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection records, incident reports, and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with safety standards during all phases of construction.
• Monitor emergency preparedness, fire safety systems, and first aid arrangements at project sites.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to company and client HSE requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Engineering with a Diploma in Industrial Safety or a recognized safety qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction safety.
