Job summary

V.K. Engineers in Hyderabad is seeking a detail-oriented purchasing professional to manage end-to-end procurement for projects. You will source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, prepare quotations and Purchase Orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

You will coordinate with Stores, Accounts, Design and Project teams, maintain supplier records, track budgets, and resolve shortages or quality issues to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and compare prices, quality and delivery timelines.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
• Ensure timely procurement of materials as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors for material availability and delivery schedules.
• Maintain good relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Monitor purchase orders and follow up on pending deliveries.
• Coordinate with Stores, Accounts, Design and Project departments.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor details and documentation.
• Ensure materials are purchased within the approved budget.
• Handle material shortages, quality issues and supplier-related concerns.
