Job summary

Soundlines Consultancy seeks a seasoned process design engineer with refinery, oil & gas, and petrochemical experience. You will work on PFDs, P&IDs, and process safety studies, applying Aspen/UNISIM/PIPESIM and HTRI tools for accurate calculations and equipment sizing.

You will review vendor data sheets, develop control philosophy, and contribute to commissioning procedures, ensuring compliance with international codes. Strong knowledge of process safety and data sheets is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparation of PFD, P&ID, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Line list, Tie-in List.
• Process calculations (pump hydraulics, equipment sizing, line sizing, PSV/TSV sizing & surge analysis).
• Knowledge of process safety studies like HAZOP, SIL, QRA and PHSER studies.
• Vendor package review and preparation of process data sheets for equipment & instruments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PFDs and P&IDs with control philosophies and operating manuals.
• Perform process calculations and equipment sizing.
• Contribute to process safety studies (HAZOP, SIL, QRA).
• Review vendor data sheets and data packages for instruments.

Job description

Experienced in Process Design works in Refinery, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry. Working knowledge in Aspen / UNISIM, PIPESIM, HTRI, Flare net, Pipe net, SPPID is required. Experience in preparation of PFD, P&ID, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Line list, Tie-in List, Process calculations (like Pump Hydraulics, Equipment sizing, line sizing, PSV / TSV sizing & Surge analysis, etc.), Control philosophy, Operation & Maintenance manual and commissioning procedure. In depth Knowledge on process software is mandatory. Experience in participation of Process Safety studies like HAZOP, SIL, QRA and PHSER studies. Vendor package review and preparation of Process data sheets for the equipment & Instruments. Codes Knowledge : International Standard code (ASC,)
