Job summary

Quest Global seeks a Technical Lead in Process Engineering with 12+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, chemicals, or petrochemical industries. You will oversee process design activities, review P&IDs, perform surge and hydraulic analyses, and ensure compliance with international codes.

Proficiency in Aspen HYSYS, AFT, and AutoCAD is required. The role involves leading a design team, coordinating with project stakeholders, and delivering datasheets and design narratives for complex process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Petrochemical Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience in Process design engineering in Oil & Gas, chemicals, or Petrochemical sectors.
• Proficiency with simulation and design tools listed (Aspen HYSYS, AFT, SPS, Pipenet, Flarenet, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify inputs per project requirements.
• Prepare and review process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Perform surge analysis and overpressure protection calculations.
• Model surge analysis for projects and review protection setpoints.

Job Requirements

Technical Lead - Process Engineering JD:

• Review and verification of inputs as per the project requirement.
• Prepare and review process flow diagram for process based on project requirement.
• Prepare, update and review P&IDs based on Process flow or project requirement.
• Performs specialized engineering duties related to pipeline system surge analysis, operating pressures and overpressure protection calculations.
• Conduct surge analysis modeling for projects.
• Review and evaluate data related to overpressure protection setpoints, sizing and installation requirements.
• Assist in design and specification of new/modified overpressure protection mitigations.
• Prepare, update and Process Datasheets for Process equipment like Pumps, Storage tanks, Reactors, Vessels, Columns, Separator, Heat Exchangers and other process equipment such as filtration equipment, and drying equipment.
• Prepare, update and review Process Datasheets for Instrumentation.
• Perform and review Hydraulic study, Hydraulic calculations for Line sizing, Pump head etc.
• Perform, review Control valve sizing calculations.
• Perform, review Relief valve sizing calculations using appropriate codes
• Prepare, update and review line list, equipment list etc.,
• Preparation of Design Basis documents.
• Prepare, update and review Cause and Effect and Control Narratives based on the project requirements.

Work Experience

Required Qualifications & Background

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, or Petrochemical Engineering.
• Experience: Usually 12+ years of experience in Process design engineering, particularly in Oil & Gas, chemicals, or Petrochemical Industry.
• Software & Tools: Proficiency in simulation tools like Aspen HYSYS, AFT, SPS, Pipenet, Flarenet, AutoCAD.
• Core Competencies: Strong analytical skills, communication, and the ability to influence design decisions and leading team.
• Strong knowledge in International Design codes and standards.
