Job summary

Curis Hospitals in Ahmedabad is seeking a dedicated hospital pharmacist to ensure safe and effective medication use across inpatients and outpatients. You will dispense prescribed medications, review prescriptions for accuracy, and monitor for interactions and adverse reactions as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide drug information to doctors and nurses, counsel patients on proper use and storage, and prepare sterile and non-sterile products including IV medications.

Qualifications

• Must have Gujarat Pharmacy Licence.
• Willing to work at Bodakdev unit.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately to inpatients and outpatients.
• Review prescriptions for correct drug, dose, route, and duration.
• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, ADRs, and medication errors.
• Provide drug information to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Counsel patients on proper use, storage, and potential side effects of medications.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile products, including IV medications and chemotherapy drugs.
• Manage procurement, storage, and inventory of medicines, ensuring stock levels and expiry monitoring.
• Participate in ward rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient treatment.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and legal regulations.
• Promote rational drug use through antimicrobial stewardship and medication safety programs.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and supporting staff in pharmacy operations.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, clinical audits, research, and CPD.
