Job summary

Virtuoso Projects & Engineers in Pune is seeking specialists for MEP estimation, tendering and quantity surveying to support industrial, warehouse and commercial projects. You will perform quantity take-offs, cost analysis and vendor comparisons, and help prepare techno-commercial bids under tight deadlines.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil engineering, hands-on MEP contracting experience, and strong Excel, AutoCAD and estimation tool skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil engineering.
• Experience in MEP estimation, tendering or quantity surveying.
• Exposure to industrial buildings, warehouses, commercial projects or turnkey MEP execution.

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-off from MEP drawings and prepare detailed BOQs.
• Conduct unit rate analysis for labor, materials, equipment and sub-contracting works.
• Review tender documents and commercial terms to identify requirements and risks.
• Float inquiries, obtain quotes, and prepare comparative statements.
• Draft techno-commercial bids and proposals within deadlines.
• Collaborate with Sales, Design and Execution teams for feasibility and VE options.

Role & responsibilities

• Quantity Take-off & BOQ Preparation: Perform complete quantity take-offs from MEP drawings (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting) and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Rate Analysis & Costing: Conduct unit rate analysis for labor, materials, equipment, and sub-contracting works to build accurate project budgets.
• Tender & Bid Evaluation: Review tender documents, specifications, commercial terms, and scope of work to identify project requirements and potential cost risks.
• Vendor Quotation Comparison: Float inquiries to vendors and subcontractors, obtain quotes, prepare comparative statements (CS), and negotiate prices.
• Techno-Commercial Proposals: Draft clear, competitive techno-commercial bids and proposals for submission to clients within tight deadlines.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Sales, Design, and Execution teams to validate site conditions, technical feasibility, and value engineering options.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
