Job summary

Hill International, Inc. is seeking an experienced quantity surveyor to undertake MEP quantity take-offs for building projects across residential, commercial, hotels and healthcare sectors in Delhi. You will draft preliminaries, review cost plans, and lead tender estimates.

You will guide junior staff, analyse unit rates, and advise on procurement strategies while using CAD and Cost-X for accurate quantify and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced quantification across complete MEP works (Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, DG, Lift, IBMS).
• Draft or modify preambles, quantify preliminaries and general items, review cost plan quantities, audit team measurements.
• Apply suitable assumptions when project information is incomplete.
• Lead preparation and review of cost plans at various stages and tender estimates.
• Analyse and evaluate items of work unit rates to project specifics by risk factors.
• Oversee pricing work prepared by junior team members.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract selection; draft or review special contract conditions and manage tenders.
• Prepare formal letters of intent, awards, or agreements; guide juniors.
• Oversee post-contract cost management, including payment recommendations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

Undertake quantity works for Building projects - Residential, Commercial, Hotel, Hospital, Fitout, Industry / warehouse (depending on project requirement)

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced quantification across complete MEP works Electrical, HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, DG, Lift, IBMS.
• Draft or modify trade-specific preambles, quantify preliminaries and general items, review cost plan quantities, audit team measurements.
• Apply suitable assumptions (when required) where project information is incomplete.
• Lead preparation and review of cost plans at various stages and tender estimates.
• Analyse and evaluate items of work unit rates to project specifics by incorporating risk factors.
• Carryout benchmark against similar projects, price preliminaries, reconcile BOQs with budgets, and provide input on cost strategies, sustainability elements, and fee allowances.
• Oversee and review pricing work prepared by junior team members.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract selection based on project needs. Draft or review special contract conditions, manage end-to-end tender processes, review documentation and reports, and present to Client.
• Prepare formal correspondences such as letters of intent, award, or agreement. Provide guidance to junior team.
• Oversee post-contract cost management, including review and approval of payment recommendations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts and present to Client. Establish change control protocols, advise on risk mitigation, evaluate claims and variations, monitor expenditure of provisional sums, and review Final Account Statement.
• Lead and support junior team members in cost control tasks.
• Apply working knowledge of construction technologies and methods in cost planning tasks. Assess cost implications of materials, labour and construction methods during design and execution stages.
• Should be proficient in CAD, Cost-X (qty take off tools) and other quantification / estimation software.
• Good skills on MS excel and word and ability to learn and adapt to customized software
