Job summary

GK Power Expertise invites fresh graduates and experienced engineers to join its Electrical Testing & Commissioning team. You will gain hands-on exposure to testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical protection systems at substations, including protection relays from ABB, Siemens, Schneider, GE.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT: On-the-job training across Numerical Protection Relays, CRP testing, and substation practices, with travel across PAN India.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or EEE.
• Graduation Batch: 2026 Pass-outs.
• Freshers and candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop hands-on expertise in testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical protection systems.
• Assist senior engineers in relay testing, configuration, and wiring verification at substations.
• Support field execution: testing of Numerical Protection Relays and CRP testing.
• Analyze faults and relay performance to ensure system reliability.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, commissioning records, and site documentation.
• Coordinate with OEMs, utilities, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Adhere to electrical safety standards and site compliance.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites across India.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop hands-on expertise in testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical protection systems.
• Assist senior engineers in relay testing, configuration, wiring verification, and commissioning activities at substations.
• Support field execution activities, including:
• Testing and commissioning of Numerical Protection Relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, GE, etc.)
• Control & Relay Panel (CRP) testing and functional verification
• Protection scheme checks and troubleshooting
• Analyze faults and relay performance to ensure system reliability.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, commissioning records, and site documentation.
• Coordinate with OEMs, utilities, clients, and project stakeholders during site activities.
• Adhere to electrical safety standards, quality procedures, and site compliance requirements.

Training & Development

Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided in:

• Numerical Protection Relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, GE, etc.)
• Control & Relay Panel (CRP) Testing & Commissioning
• Substation Testing & Commissioning Practices
