Job summary

Zetwerk seeks an experienced Equipment Maintenance Engineer to manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of SMT and FATP production equipment in our electronics facility. You will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support production targets through effective troubleshooting and maintenance practices.

The role covers calibration, spare-parts management, CAPA-based improvements, and collaboration with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and OEM service teams to resolve

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of SMT and FATP equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-related issues to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain and optimize SMT equipment such as pick-and-place machines, printers, SPI, AOI, reflow ovens, and wave soldering machines.
• Handle maintenance of FATP equipment including assembly lines, conveyors, testing systems, and dispensing or screw-f fastening machines.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Engineer to manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of SMT and FATP production equipment in an electronics manufacturing facility. The candidate will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, improve machine performance, and support production targets through effective troubleshooting and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of SMT and FATP equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-related issues to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain and optimize SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, SPI, AOI, reflow ovens, and wave soldering machines.
• Handle maintenance and troubleshooting of FATP equipment, including assembly lines, screw fastening machines, dispensing systems, conveyor systems, testing equipment, and other automated production machines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment from OEMs such as Fuji, GKG, TRI, Mirtec, and other relevant machine manufacturers.
• Monitor machine performance, MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, and downtime trends.
• Ensure proper calibration, machine setup, preventive maintenance schedules, and spare-parts management.
• Analyze recurring machine failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and OEM service teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, checklists, and equipment history logs.
• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, 5S, and equipment safety procedures.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and production ramp-up.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of SMT and FATP equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with SMT machines, reflow ovens, solder paste printers, SPI, AOI, and conveyor systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, servo motors, pneumatic systems, drives, and electrical circuits.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning and breakdown analysis.
• Ability to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Familiarity with maintenance documentation, spare-parts planning, and downtime analysis.
• Good coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Equipment Knowledge

• SMT: Fuji pick-and-place machines, GKG solder paste printers, TRI SPI/AOI, JT reflow ovens, wave soldering machines, Mirtec/Holly AOI.
• FATP: Automated assembly equipment, screw fastening systems, dispensing machines, conveyors, functional testing systems, and other production automation equipment.
