Job summary

Varroc Engineering Limited in Chakan, Maharashtra, seeks a skilled SMT Maintenance professional to maximize uptime of production lines. You will perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot SMT machines such as P&P, printers, and reflow ovens, and coordinate with process teams to reduce downtime.

You will diagnose electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and servo-drive faults, maintain PLC systems, and support new installations while upholding safety and TPM standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance of SMT lines.
• Ability to diagnose electrical/electronic faults on complex machines.
• Familiarity with TPM, RCA, MTBF/MTTR and OEE concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of SMT machines, ensuring minimum production downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair SMT equipment including pick-and-place, printers, reflow ovens, AOI, SPI, conveyors, and PCB handling systems.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and servo-drive faults.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, actuators, and control panels.
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve recurring failures and improve OEE.
• Execute root cause analysis and implement CAPA.
• Monitor MTTR, MTBF, machine availability, and maintenance downtime.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance logs.
• Support new machine installation, commissioning, setup, and qualification.
• Ensure compliance with safety, 5S, TPM, and maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with OEMs and external service providers for major repairs.

Job Description

To ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and efficiency of SMT production lines by carrying out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of SMT machines and associated utilities.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of SMT machines, ensuring minimum production downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, reflow ovens, AOI, SPI, conveyors, and PCB handling systems.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and servo-drive-related faults.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machine systems involving PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, actuators, and control panels.
• Coordinate with production and process teams to resolve recurring machine failures and improve OEE.
• Execute root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor MTTR, MTBF, machine availability, and maintenance-related downtime.
• Maintain spare-parts inventory, critical spares, maintenance logs, and breakdown records.
• Support new machine installation, commissioning, machine setup, and equipment qualification.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, 5S, TPM, and maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with OEMs and external service providers for technical support and major repairs.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of SMT line equipment and troubleshooting.
• Electrical and electronic circuit diagnosis.
• PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of servo motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, and motion control.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance, TPM, RCA, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE.
• Basic knowledge of reflow profiles, ESD, and PCB handling equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, machine manuals, and wiring diagrams.
