Job summary

Vrinda Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to perform advanced electrical system studies using ETAP/EasyPower and to validate designs with 3D modeling in Revit and NAVISWORKS. You will review vendor prints, participate in multi-discipline coordination and lead model reviews at key project milestones.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical system studies using ETAP/EasyPower.
• Conversant with short circuit, load flow, motor starting & voltage drop calculations.
• Main single line diagram, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination.
• Emergency Diesel Generator sizing, grounding and underground cable sizing knowledge.
• Review of 3D Model in S3D and Autodesk Revit using SPR or Navisworks.
• Vendor print reviews of electrical equipment like switchyard, transformers, switchgear and cables.
• Knowledge of raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection layouts.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical layouts and one-line diagrams and protection schemes.
• Prepare line and logic diagrams; ensure coordination with scope and standards.
• Review vendor prints for switchgear, transformers, cables and equipment sizing.
• Participate in 3D model reviews at 30%, 50% and 90% with client and vendors.
• Coordinate inter-discipline work and project planning activities.
• Ensure adherence to construction practices and economic considerations.

Job description

JD Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive Knowledge of electrical system studies using ETAP/EasyPower software and conversant with short circuit, load flow, motor starting & voltage drop calculations, main single line diagram, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination of the system, Emergency Diesel Generator Sizing, Underground cable sizing, Grounding.
• Should possess good knowledge of international codes & standards.
• Should have worked on equipment sizing, specifications, MR preparation, technical bid evaluation and vendor print reviews of various electrical equipment like Switchyard, Generator Step-Up Transformer, Busduct, MV & LV switchgear, MCCs, power & distribution transformers, DC systems / UPS, Cables, generator circuit breaker, bus duct, lighting fixtures.
• Review of 3D Model in S3D and Autodesk Revit using SPR or Navisworks and be a stakeholder in 30%, 50% and 90% Model Reviews with Client, Vendor and Sub Contractors
• Vendor Prints Review of Mechanical packages.
• Preparation of three Line Diagrams & Logic Diagrams, Overall Single Line Diagrams, conversant with electrical layouts like raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection, Switchyard layouts etc.
• Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
• Knowledge of inter discipline coordination.
• Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.
