Job summary

JB Group of Companies seeks an electrical engineer with expertise in building power systems and data center environments. The candidate will review 3D models and electrical layouts, ensure protection coordination, and contribute to equipment sizing and bid reviews.

Proficiency in ETAP for short circuit, load flow and motor starting is essential, along with strong communication skills to present findings to clients. Knowledge of HVAC systems and raised-floor containment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of single line diagrams, protection and metering diagrams, and relay setting.
• Experience with ETAP for short circuit, load flow and motor starting.
• Experience with equipment sizing, MR preparation, bid evaluation and vendor print reviews.
• Experience with HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Condenser Water Systems, Pump controls, Glycol/Glycols, AHU units (DX, split, RTU, CRAC, etc.), CRAH, Raised Floor Systems, HOT/COLD aisle containment.
• Experience with Building Power Management systems including HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire systems, access control and security.
• Familiar with electrical layouts like Substation Equipment, raceways, lighting, grounding and lightning protection.
• 3D model reviews using Revit, SPR or Navisworks; client reviews.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Job description

• Knowledge of main single line diagram, protection & metering diagrams, relay setting & protection coordination of the system, UPS sizing, cable sizing, Grounding.
• In-depth knowledge of Electrical system studies using ETAP software and conversant with short circuit, load flow & motor starting.
• Should have worked on equipment sizing, specifications, MR preparation, technical bid evaluation and vendor print reviews of various electrical equipment like HV GIS, Busduct, Switchgear, MCCs, Transformers, DC systems / UPS, Cables.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems related to equipment like HVAC, Chilled Water Systems, Condenser Water Systems, Pump controls, Glycol/Glycols, AHU units (DX, split, RTU, CRAC, etc.), CRAH, Raised Floor Systems, HOT/COLD aisle containment.
• Interface of Building Power Management which includes controlling and monitoring of Building s mechanical and electrical equipment such as HVAC, lighting, power systems, fire systems, access control and security systems.
• Should be conversant with electrical layouts like Substation Equipment, raceways, lighting, grounding & lightning protection, etc.
• Review of 3D Model Autodesk Revit using SPR or Navisworks, Model Reviews with Client.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
