Job summary

Crevac Tech Private Limited is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with 8-15 years of experience to lead complex design work for HV, MV and LV systems including substations and pumping stations. The role requires familiarity with TAQA D/TAQA T/SEWA/ADNOC standards and strong client interfacing.

You will develop electrical drawings, perform crucial engineering studies, and prepare detailed technical and construction documents for major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8-15 years of experience in electrical design.
• Experience with international and utility standards (TAQA D/TAQA T/SEWA/ADNOC).

Responsibilities

• Perform studies such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, arc flash, and harmonic studies.
• Carry out calculations for earthing, lightning, lighting, cable sizing, transformer sizing, generator sizing, switchgear sizing, and UPS/battery sizing.
• Develop single line diagrams, protection diagrams and detailed layout drawings.
• Prepare reports, bill of quantities, scope of work, specifications and data sheets.
• Review technical submittals and shop drawings from contractors/vendors.

Position - Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Qualification - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience - 8-15 years of Experience

• Should be well versed in International and Utility standards, especially TAQA D/TAQA T/SEWA/ADNOC etc, having a wide knowledge in developing HV, MV, LV, substations, pumping stations, etc.
• Should have good understanding of substations (primary and distribution) and pumping stations.
• Should be abreast with latest industry trends with various equipment used in power system.
• Should possess strong communication skills and should be able to interface with other disciplines as well as understanding client requirements and provide quick solutions.
• Should have in-depth knowledge of various software used in Electrical Engineering like ETAP, PSS Sincal, Dialux, and in addition shall have a good command on MS Office tools like Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Should be able to perform well as a team and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Should demonstrate his/her experience having worked with major clients in the UAE.
• Should be able to perform all engineering studies such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, arc flash, harmonic studies.
• Should be able to perform all engineering calculations such as earthing calculations, lightning risk assessment, lighting calculations, cable sizing, transformer sizing, generator sizing, switchgear sizing, ac and dc ups and battery sizing.
• Should be able to perform calculations and prepare earthing and lightning layout drawings.
• Should be able to develop single line diagrams, protection diagrams, schematic diagrams, general arrangement drawings, load schedules, cable schedules, etc.
• Should be able to prepare layout drawings such as earthing and lightning layouts, cable routing layouts, cable tray routing layouts, small power and lighting layouts, equipment layouts, etc.
• Should be able to prepare reports, bill of quantities, scope of work, specifications, data sheet, and other construction documents.
• Should be involved in carrying out tender analysis and preparation of technical and commercial bid evaluation reports.
• Should be able to review and comment on technical submittals and shop drawings from contractor/vendor.
