Job summary

First Advantage in Bengaluru is seeking a diligent Verification Specialist to handle inbound and outbound calls for education, employment and reference verifications, delivering detailed reports to clients. The role demands accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of college or 3-year diploma, proficiency with MS Office, and a good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound calls for employment, education and other references verifications.
• Obtain verification information via phone, fax, mail, etc.

• Update reference contact information in the database.
• Answer inquiries from candidates and clients regarding background check status.
• Coordinate with other departments via phone and email on background check status.
• Transfer calls to appropriate departments.
• Update database and complete verification reports.
• Perform set-up of client orders and other database checks.
• Conduct quality checks.

FlA successful VERIFICATION SPECIALIST will be mainly responsible for answering Inbound and Outbound calls for references, education, credential and employment verification. The successful candidate must have excellent attention to details and must have a high-level of analytical skills to provide a comprehensive report to the client.

Responsibilities

• Manage Inbound and Outbound calls for employment, education and other references verifications.
• Obtain Verification and references information via phone, fax, mail, etc.
• Investigate and confirm reference credibility.
• Update reference contact information within database.
• Answer telephone and email inquiries from candidates and clients concerning the status of a background check request.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. (Call out to specific organization/school as requested by a client and referees for clarification)
• Coordinate with other departments via phone and email regarding the status of the background check.
• Transferring calls to appropriate departments
• Update database and complete verification report.
• Other duties may be required such as:
• Setting up client orders
• Completing database check
• Work allocation duties
• Quality checks

What You Will Need to be Successful

• Candidate must at least have spent 2 years in College or 3 years of Diploma
• Experience doing Inbound calls/transactions is recommended (but not required).

What You May Need to be Successful

• Requires excellent command on the English language and can handle conversational interviews.
• Proficiency on basic computer applications, e.g. Microsoft office and Web browsers
• Must be amenable to work remotely in the Night Shift and/or shifting schedules.
• Flexible to any work mode
