Job summary

Banaraswala Wire Mesh in Navi Mumbai seeks a Costing Analyst to support product costing, pricing decisions, and profitability analysis. The role involves coordinating with Production, Purchase, Sales, and Accounts to ensure accurate costing data and timely MIS reporting.

The position focuses on maintaining standard costs, monitoring variances, and assisting in pricing strategies to optimize margins for multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product-wise costing based on material, labour, machine, and other costs.
• Review costing periodically and update it with changes in cost components.
• Review Machine Hour Rates based on actual operating costs and production hours.
• Calculate and monitor Machine Hour Rates for different machines and production processes.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining standard costs for products.
• Compare standard costs with actual costs and identify major variations.
• Prepare costing-based pricing for products.
• Support analysis of the impact of cost changes on prices and margins.
• Prepare regular MIS reports on costing, pricing, Gross Profit, and product profitability.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Sales, and Accounts for costing information.
• Take up other costing, analysis, and MIS-related work as assigned by the Head.

Job description

1. Costing

• Prepare and maintain product-wise costing based on material, labour, machine, and other relevant costs.
• Review costing periodically and update it based on changes in cost components.

2. Machine Hour Rate

• Review the rates periodically based on actual operating costs and production hours.
• Calculate and monitor Machine Hour Rates for different machines and production processes.

3. Standard Costing

• Assist in establishing and maintaining standard costs for products.
• Compare standard costs with actual costs and identify major variations.

4. Product Pricing

• Prepare costing-based pricing for products.
• Support the team in analysing the impact of cost changes on product prices and margins.

5. Gross Profit & Profitability

• Calculate and monitor Gross Profit at product level.
• Prepare product-wise profitability analysis and identify significant variations in margins.
• Assist in identifying reasons for lower or higher profitability.

6. MIS & Analysis

• Prepare regular MIS reports relating to costing, pricing, Gross Profit, and product profitability.
• Provide relevant analysis and information to support management decisions.

7. Coordination & Other Activities

• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Sales, and Accounts teams for costing-related information.
• Take up other costing, analysis, and MIS-related work as assigned by the Head from time to time.
