Job summary

SS Bright Steels in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, invites applications for a Site Supervisor to oversee civil, electrical, plumbing, and interior works from planning to handover. The role requires coordinating with engineers, foremen and suppliers to ensure safety, quality and timely progress on site.

You will monitor daily activity, prepare reports, manage materials and liaise with vendors to secure reliable materials at competitive prices. Prior experience in construction supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project Supervision: Supervise projects from start to finish, including civil, electrical, plumbing, interior, etc.
• Worker Supervision: Supervise workers, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion.
• Daily Site Supervision: Monitor all daily site activities and ensure smooth work progress.
• Site Inspection: Check work progress, quality, and compliance with drawings and plans.
• Drawing & Requirement Follow-up: Understand and follow drawings, layouts, specifications, and project requirements.
• Work Scheduling: Plan and manage daily and weekly work schedules.
• Work Method Monitoring: Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with required standards.
• Safety Compliance: Identify safety risks and ensure proper use of PPE and safety rules.
• Material Management: Check material requirements, availability, delivery, and proper usage.
• Project Planning Support: Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities.
• Documentation & Reports: Prepare daily site reports and maintain proper records.
• Meeting Participation: Attend site meetings, give updates, and discuss project issues.
• Supplier Sourcing: Find reliable suppliers for quality materials at competitive prices.
• Vendor Relations: Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Market Research: Check market prices, material quality, and availability.
• Purchase Recommendations: Suggest suitable suppliers and materials based on quality, cost, and availability.
