Job summary

DECCAN HARDIKAR HOSPITAL, SHIVAJINAGAR, PUNE is seeking a Cath Lab Head responsible for coordinating the department's team, maintaining discipline, and ensuring high-quality care during angiography and related procedures.

You will oversee administration of the Cath Lab, inventory control, staff duty rosters, equipment maintenance, patient counseling, and support to consultants across coronary, renal, peripheral angiography and related interventions; manage academic activities and trainings.

Responsibilities

• 1) Being the section head to ensure that the department is performing with its team in harmony, discipline and in the interest of the Institute.
• 2) To ensure proper administration of Cath Lab
• 3) To ensure effective inventory Control of the Department.
• 4) Bring to timely notice of CEO any untoward happening in the department / departmental work.
• 5) To plan department staff leave and sanctioned routine leave but not to regularize any absenteeism or approve Leave Without Pay.
• 6) To initiate work within the written system viz repair / purchase etc to be undertaken by the department. To ensure work accountability of self and staff working in Cath Lab.
• 7) Preparation of duty roaster of the staff working in Cath Lab.
• 8) To take care of equipment used in Cath Lab.
• 9) Patient counseling for the procedure.
• 10) Verify patient’s details.
• 11) To check and prepare the machine for the procedure.
• 12) To assist the consultant in various procedures i.e. coronary, renal, peripheral angiography and plasty, PDV device closure, BMV,Bronchial Embolisation, DSA, Intracranial stenting, coiling etc.
• 13) To monitor the post processing of the procedure.
• 14) To send the data to selected network nodes.
• 15) To check the network jobs in the status area.
• 16) To arrange the images in filming and printing.
• 17) To look after the machine maintenance.
• 18) To maintain the stock of cathlab i.e. Contrast, Catheters, Guidewires, Sheaths, Balloon, stents, inflation KIT devices with accessories.
• 19) To assist in neuro interventional work
• 20) To look after the activities of diagnostic courses under academic department.
• 21) To conduct the lectures for the courses.
• 22) To look after the general administration of cathlab except nursing.
• 23) To train fresh appointees in cath lab.
• 24) Any other responsibility assign by your superior.
