Job summary

BL Properties Pvt. Ltd. (A part of BL Group) is seeking a creative, technically sound Architect to join our Design & Project Execution team in Chennai.

The role involves a diverse range of projects including sea port civil works, residential & commercial projects, landscaping, and interior works. You will work with the Senior Architect on large-scale projects and independently coordinate smaller assignments.

Qualifications

• B.Arch degree from a recognized institution.
• Strong interest in Vernacular Architecture is preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in planning and executing architectural designs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare floor plans, layout plans, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
• Prepare and revise 2D CAD drawings based on project and site requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of architectural concepts, design presentations, and project documentation.
• Coordinate closely with the Site In-Charge, Civil Engineers, Electrical, Plumbing, and Landscaping teams.
• Conduct regular site visits for measurements, inspections, progress monitoring, and design coordination.
• Assist in resolving drawing and execution-related issues at project sites.
• Estimate project cost and budget planning.
• Monitor project execution to ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Support the Senior Architect in the planning and execution of large-scale projects.
• Take responsibility for the design coordination and execution of assigned small-scale projects.
• Prepare landscape layouts and coordinate with landscaping teams and vendors.
• Support the planning, detailing, and execution of interior design.
• Coordinate interior-related activities, including layouts, finishes, and execution requirements.
• Prepare posters, brochures, and other graphic design materials for marketing purposes.

The selected candidate will work on a diverse range of projects, including Sea Port Civil Works, Residential & Commercial Projects, Landscaping, and Interior Works. The candidate will work closely with the Senior Architect on large-scale projects and will be expected to independently coordinate and execute assigned small-scale projects.

• Prepare posters, brochures, and other graphic design materials as required for Marketing purpose

Qualification

• B.Arch. degree from any recognized intuitions.
• Strong interest in Vernacular Architecture is preferred.

Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Planning and Executing architectural designs.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Rendering.
• Understanding of floor planning, space planning, and construction detailing.
• Site execution and construction processes.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, or other 3D visualization software.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar graphic design software is preferred.
