Job summary

JAIN HOUSING & CONSTRUCTION in Chennai seeks an Architect with strong skills in design and documentation to join the project team. The role involves developing concept designs, coordinating with structural, MEP, and landscape consultants, and producing drawings across schematic plans, sections, elevations, and details.

Qualifications

• Mandatory B.Arch. or M.Arch degree.
• 2–8 years of professional experience in architectural design and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept designs, unit layouts, and facade studies.
• Prepare architectural drawings including schematic plans, sections, elevations, and details using AutoCAD and other drafting tools.
• Prepare GFC drawings and working drawings as part of the project documentation team.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as structural, MEP, and landscape consultants to integrate architectural requirements into coordinated design outputs.
• Review drawings for compliance with applicable codes and regulations, including building bye-laws, DCR, NBC, and fire safety norms.
• Support material research, documentation, and coordination with procurement and design teams.
• Prepare presentations, 3D views, and mood boards for internal reviews and client meetings.
• Maintain organized records of design documentation, revisions, and architectural data throughout the project lifecycle.
