Job summary

Bhima Jewellery in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, invites an experienced Finance Manager to supervise the accounts team, ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions, and manage cash flow and reporting. You should have CA Inter/CMA Inter/MBA Finance/M.Com and 5-8 years in accounts with 2-3 in leadership; jewellery retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance) or M.Com qualification preferred.
• 5-8 years in accounts with 2-3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience in retail/jewellery industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide the accounts team in day-to-day activities.
• Record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Oversee cash flow, banking, and fund management for showroom/branch.
• Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor daily sales, stock reconciliation, and cash/bank reconciliation.
• Ensure GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other compliances.
• Coordinate with auditors to ensure smooth audits.
• Review and approve vendor payments and payroll disbursements.
• Prepare MIS reports, P&L, and budget analysis for management.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and SOPs.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and authorities.
• Train and mentor accounts executives and junior staff.

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee cash flow, banking operations, and fund management at the showroom/branch.
• Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor daily sales reports, stock reconciliation, and cash/bank reconciliation.
• Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, ensuring smooth audits.
• Review and approve vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and payroll-related disbursements.
• Prepare and present MIS reports, profit & loss accounts, and budget analysis to management.
• Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, internal controls, and SOPs.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities when required.
• Train and mentor accounts executives and junior staff.

• Strong knowledge of Tally ERP/Prime, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• In-depth understanding of GST, TDS, direct & indirect taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and analytical skills.
• High integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Qualification & Experience:

• CA Inter / CMA Inter / M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in accounts, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Experience in retail/jewellery industry will be an added advantage.
