IC4 Technical Consultant - OFSAA ERM Suite
Job Description
The IC4 Technical Consultant for the OFSAA Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) suite is responsible for delivering end-to-end technical implementation, customization, performance optimization, and production support for OFSAA ERM modules such as ALM, LRM, Basel, FTP, PFT, and related components. The role demands strong technical depth, hands-on delivery capability, and the ability to work independently while guiding junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and deploy OFSAA ERM applications (ALM, LRM, FTP, Basel, PFT) including metadata setup, data model extensions, staging-to-FCT mappings, business rule configuration, and scenario orchestration.
- Implement ALM/IRRBB, Liquidity, Basel, and other ERM scenarios including cash flow engines, model configurations, behavioral assumptions, shock parameters, scenario definitions, and reporting frameworks.
- Customize OFSAA Rule Framework components such as allocation rules, transformation rules, and business rules using SQL/PLSQL.
- Build high-performance data pipelines into OFSAA using ODI/PowerCenter/PLSQL-based ETL.
- Design and optimize data ingestion workflows from source systems to OFSAA staging and foundation layers.
- Develop complex SQL, PL/SQL packages, functions, materialized views, and partitioning strategies for large-scale financial datasets.
- Optimize OFSAA batch runs, cash flow engines, LRM/ALM simulations, and high-volume SQL queries.
- Improve performance through partitioning, indexing strategies, parallel DML, and query rewrite techniques.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in ETL, FCT loads, reporting, and scenario execution.
- Provide L2/L3 support for OFSAA ERM production environments on OCI/Exadata or on-prem.
- Troubleshoot issues in batch runs, rules execution, engine logs, and data quality.
- Collaborate with DBAs, infrastructure teams, and product support to resolve deep technical issues.
- Prepare detailed technical design documents, mapping sheets, solution architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
- Review and validate functional requirement documents and translate them into technical specifications.
- Maintain version-controlled build and release documentation.
- Work with functional consultants, product SMEs, QA teams, and client stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and reviewers.
- Support project managers with effort estimations, risk identification, and delivery planning.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming (complex merges, analytic functions, performance tuning).
- Deep understanding of OFSAA architecture: FDM, DIM, FCT tables, metadata, rule framework, cash flow engines.
- Experience with OFSAA modules such as ALM, LRM, Basel, FTP, and PFT.
- Experience with ETL tools (ODI, Informatica, PL/SQL-based ingestion).
- Strong performance tuning skills on Oracle 12c/19c (partitioning, parallel processing, indexing).
- Exposure to OFSAA on OCI, Exadata, or Linux-based deployments.
- Good understanding of banking/finance data (loans, deposits, liquidity, capital, interest rate risk).
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight (IC4 level expectation).
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and requirement clarification.
- Ability to guide junior team members and conduct code/design reviews.
- Strong analytical ability and structured problem-solving approach.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8–12 years of overall experience, with significant exposure to OFSAA ERM suite.
- Certification in OFSAA ALM/LRM/Basel/FTP is a strong plus.
- Experience implementing multi-entity, multi-currency configurations.
- Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks (IRRBB, Basel III LCR/NSFR, ICAAP).
- Experience integrating OFSAA with reporting applications (OFSAA FSDF, OAS/OAC, Power BI, Tableau).
