Job Description
Role Overview
The IC2 Technical Consultant for the OFSAA Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) suite supports the implementation and maintenance of OFSAA modules such as ALM, LRM, Basel, FTP, and PFT. The role focuses on hands‑on technical execution—SQL/PLSQL development, data load support, rule configuration assistance, testing, and issue resolution—under guidance from senior IC3/IC4 consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring OFSAA rules including transformation rules, allocation rules, business rules, and metadata objects.
- Maintain and update dimension hierarchies, member attributes, mapping configurations, and driver inputs.
- Execute OFSAA batch jobs, rule runs, and scenario executions as part of development and testing cycles.
- Develop and maintain SQL/PLSQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, validation, and simple performance improvements.
- Write procedures to support data loading, reconciliation, and functional rule logic under supervision.
- Participate in building test queries to validate scenario outputs.
- Support staging-to-foundation data loads using ODI, Informatica, or PL/SQL‑based ingestion.
- Perform data profiling, run data validation checks, and troubleshoot common data load failures.
- Work with technical leads to implement changes in data pipelines.
- Prepare and execute unit test cases for rule logic, data flows, and configuration changes.
- Assist in SIT and UAT testing by validating data, running scenarios, and logging defects.
- Contribute to test automation (SQL scripts, reusable datasets, validation routines).
- Document rule configurations, data mappings, technical steps, and error logs.
- Maintain trackers for builds, defects, change requests, and deployment status.
- Provide inputs to technical design documents and SOPs.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting for rule execution failures, data inconsistencies, and batch run issues.
- Analyse log files and elevate unresolved issues to senior IC3/IC4 consultants.
- Provide support during deployments, migrations, and production cutovers.
- Work closely with functional consultants to understand requirements and convert them into technical tasks.
- Learn and apply OFSAA best practices under mentorship.
- Participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions, code reviews, and quality checkpoints.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong foundation in SQL/PLSQL programming (joins, aggregations, basic performance techniques).
- Basic understanding of the OFSAA architecture: DIM/FCT structures, Rule Framework basics, Metadata constructs.
- Exposure to ETL tools (ODI/Informatica) or database ingestion pipelines.
- Good understanding of Oracle database concepts, including indexes, partitions, and statistics (basic).
- Familiarity with Linux commands, log analysis, and batch execution concepts.
- Basic understanding of banking products (loans, deposits, securities).
- Awareness of ALM, Liquidity, Basel, or FTP concepts (even at introductory level).
- Ability to follow functional design documentation and convert logic into technical implementation.
- Strong attention to detail and structured problem‑solving approach.
- Ability to follow guidance meticulously and ask clarifying questions when needed.
- Effective communication with senior team members and functional consultants.
- Willingness to learn OFSAA modules deeply and grow into IC3/IC4 roles.
Preferred Qualifications

- Exposure to OFSAA ERM modules (ALM, LRM, Basel, FTP) is a plus, even if limited.
- Familiarity with Oracle SQL Developer, ODI, Linux, and version control tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- SQL certification or OFSAA training preferred but not mandatory.
