A leading software services company in Mumbai is looking for a Trading Application & Algo Tester with 4 to 7 years of experience. Candidates will be responsible for testing capital market trading applications, writing SQL queries, and managing test cases. This full-time role requires expertise in manual testing and familiarity with defect management tools like HP-ALM. Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience with functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing.
• Excellent understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Skilled in defect reporting and test execution across cycles.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data verification.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and execute test cases.

• Apply SDLC/STLC practices throughout testing cycles.
• Execute functional, regression, retesting, and Sanity tests.

What he will do

• Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• Expertise in Manual Testing with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
