Job summary

A software services provider in Mumbai is seeking a Trading Application & Algo Tester with 4-7 years of testing experience. The role involves basic functional testing of trading applications, creating and executing test cases, and reporting defects. Candidates must be proficient in manual testing and SQL. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and testing life cycles is required. This is a full-time position based at the office, offering remuneration as per industry standards.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in software testing, particularly with trading applications.
• Expertise in manual testing, including defect management.
• Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC, with significant exposure to Agile.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with SQL queries for data verification.
• Testing across Sanity, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic functional testing of capital market trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare execute test cases based on requirements.
• Report defects and participate in scrum meetings to discuss test statuses.
• Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
