Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Mumbai is seeking a Trading Application & Algo Tester. The candidate should have 4 to 7 years of experience in manual testing, including identifying test scenarios and executing test cases for trading applications. Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience with SQL queries is preferred. This is a full-time position requiring work from the office. Attractive remuneration is offered as per industry norms.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in Testing roles.
• Expertise in Manual Testing with defect management tools.
• Knowledge of software development and testing life cycles.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Excellent defect reporting skills and experience across multiple testing types.
• Experience in functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing.
• Awareness of Agile methodologies with Scrum teams.
• Capable of Scrum meetings to discuss test status and progress.
• Strong understanding of defect life cycle and traceability matrices.
• Design and execute test cases ensuring requirements and specs are covered.
• Create traceability matrices mapping business requirements to test cases.
• Conduct test case reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
• Experience writing SQL queries for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in sanity, smoke, retesting, regression, functional and non-functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare test cases.
• Conduct meetings to discuss test status.
• Apply SDLC and STLC standards; document and report test results clearly.
• Report defects accurately and track their life cycle to closure.
• Perform functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing across modules.
• Collaborate in Agile scrum teams; participate in daily standups and sprint planning.
• Lead Scrum meetings to discuss test status and risks.
• Design traceability matrices linking requirements to test cases.
• Review test cases and share feedback with team members for improvements.
• Write SQL queries for data verification against backend databases (SQL Server).
• Contribute to sanity, smoke, regression and non-functional testing activities.

What he will do

• Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• Expertise in Manual Testing with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
