Responsibilities

• Act as central SME for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, STP/WTP, and BMS.
• Establish and implement engineering standards, SOPs, O&M practices, and AMC frameworks.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and drive standardization of equipment and vendor performance.
• Monitor asset reliability and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead RCA and CAPEX planning input for major projects.
• Drive energy efficiency, water management, and sustainability initiatives.
• Identify technology upgrades and automation to boost efficiency.

Position - Vice President Technical Services (Engineering)

Reporting To - Head & Executive Director Facility Management Services

Position Summary

The Vice President Technical Services (Engineering) will lead the Central Technical Services function and serve as the organization's technical authority for engineering systems across the real estate portfolio. The role is responsible for driving engineering excellence, technical governance, asset reliability, sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiency across commercial, retail, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Governance
   • Act as the central SME for HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, STP/WTP, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
   • Establish and implement engineering standards, SOPs, O&M; practices, and AMC frameworks across the portfolio.
   • Provide technical guidance to site teams and drive standardization of equipment, maintenance practices, and vendor performance.
2. Asset Performance & Reliability
   • Monitor the performance and reliability of critical engineering assets and drive continuous improvement.
   • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
   • Develop asset lifecycle, refurbishment, and replacement strategies to maximize uptime and optimize costs
3. Energy & Sustainability
   • Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency, water management, and operational sustainability.
   • Drive compliance with statutory requirements, energy and water audits, and green building standards such as IGBC, LEED, GRIHA, and ESG.
   • Identify and implement technology upgrades and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
4. CAPEX & Technical Advisory
   • Support annual CAPEX planning for major repairs, replacements, and modernization projects.
   • Conduct technical due diligence for current asset acquisitions and transitions.
   • Provide technical inputs for vendor evaluation, tendering, and engineering contract management
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
   • Lead the Central Technical Services team while partnering with Operations, Projects, Procurement, and Property Management teams.
   • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification (M.Tech/MBA/Energy Management) preferred.
• 2025 years of experience in Technical Services, Engineering, or Property Management within commercial real estate, retail, mixed-use developments, or large integrated facilities.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, MEP systems, asset lifecycle management, energy optimization, and statutory compliance.
