The role requires 15 years SDLC, 10 years in technical management at scale, 10 years in financial services, and 4 years of remote team management, with strong business-communication skills and a CS/Engineering

Qualifications

• 15 years of professional SDLC experience across technology disciplines.
• 10 years in technical management with high-performing teams.
• 10 years in financial services/brokerage industry.
• 4 years managing remote onshore/offshore teams and vendor relations.
• Ability to explain engineering concepts to business users and show impact.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple development teams across value streams ensuring successful delivery.
• Build cross-functional rapport with Technology and Product leaders for dependencies and risk mitigation.
• Maintain deep understanding of secure, distributed hybrid cloud architectures.
• Oversee databases/data warehouses and data architecture.
• Guide API design and tooling for modern APIs; ensure enterprise-aligned designs.
• Mentor cross-functional team including business analysis and engineering.
• Ensure engineering designs align with enterprise standards and drive commercial impact.

Job Overview

VP of Software Development Delivery Manager will provide technical leadership while collaborating with Business and Product teams on the vision-setting through to the implementation of the next level of our advisor digital platform. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of deep customization, scalability, and streamlined experience.

Responsibilities

• Experience leading multiple development teams across various value streams providing nurturing leadership and talent development efforts for successful project delivery, application, and platform support
• Build cross-functional rapport with other leaders in the Technology and Product organizations for help navigating through dependencies, risk mitigation and triage of issues to resolution
• Have a deep, hands-on understanding of cloud architecture and design, with an emphasis on secure, distributed hybrid cloud platforms
• Very strong understanding of large databases/data warehouses and data architecture
• Have a deep understanding of API design, the difference between platform design and application design, and the tooling to create modern APIs
• Strong Object-oriented Principles in a common OOP language framework such as C# / .Net
• Act as a mentor and lead on a cross-functional team that includes business analysis, and engineering
• Ensure all engineering designs and model architecture align with enterprise standards
• Work across business, product and technical teams to deliver solutions that drive commercial impact

Requirements

• 15 years of professional SDLC experience in a diverse set of technology disciplines
• 10 years in a technical management capacity in an enterprise with a high-performing technical team
• 10 years of financial services/brokerage firm experience
• 4 years working with and managing remote teams (onshore & offshore), including vendor relationships
• Ability to clearly explain engineering concepts to business users and articulate how they impact solutions
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
