Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead and contribute to platform modernization initiatives at GCC India. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions to transform our existing systems and infrastructure into modern, scalable, and efficient platforms.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex platform modernization projects, focusing on cloud-native solutions, microservices, and API-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and other engineering groups, to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing systems, identify modernization opportunities, and propose strategic technical roadmaps.
• Develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance of modernized platforms.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application to GCC India's platform modernization efforts.
• Document technical designs, architectural decisions, and operational procedures thoroughly.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on platform development and modernization.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or C#.
• Solid understanding of database technologies (relational and NoSQL) and data migration strategies.
• Expertise in Kong, Kafka, AWS.
• Should have understanding about Tibco EMS and Data power.
• Proficient with AI to drive migrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives with minimal supervision.
