Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a senior leader for an ophthalmology/medical devices focused group, based in Ahmedabad, to lead global Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations across India, Ireland, and the USA. The role demands 18–20 years in regulated pharma/medical device environments with a proven track record in multi-site leadership.

You will drive operational strategy, digitization, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with cGMP, ISO 13485, and MDR.

Qualifications

• 18–20 years of experience in pharma, medical device or regulated manufacturing.
• Proven multi-site global manufacturing leadership across regulated markets.
• Deep expertise in sterile/aseptic manufacturing and regulatory standards.
• Strong background in supply chain, inventory optimization and logistics.
• Experience driving digitization, automation and large-scale transformations.
• Proven ability to lead 500+ employees and senior stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead global Manufacturing & Supply Chain operations across sites in India, Ireland, and the USA.
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with growth, productivity and profitability.
• Drive excellence, capacity utilization, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO 13485, MDR, US FDA and other regulated markets.
• Oversee inventory planning, logistics, procurement, and OTIF delivery.
• Lead manufacturing digitization and automation across global operations.
• Manage budgets, KPIs, resource allocation, risk, and crisis management.
• Build and mentor teams across international sites (500+).

• Lead global Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations across multiple sites in India, Ireland, and the USA.

• Ensure compliance with global quality and regulatory standards, including cGMP, ISO 13485, MDR, US FDA, and other regulated market requirements.
• Oversee inventory planning, logistics, procurement, and end-to-end supply chain performance to ensure seamless product availability and OTIF delivery.
• Lead manufacturing digitization, process automation, and strategic expansion projects across global operations.
• Manage budgets, KPIs, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and crisis management while driving operational performance.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams, leading 500+ employees and senior leaders across multiple international manufacturing sites

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

• Strong experience in operations management within the life sciences sector.
• 18-20 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments with a strong track record in operations leadership.
• Proven experience leading multi-site global manufacturing operations and supply chain functions across regulated markets.
• Deep expertise in sterile/aseptic manufacturing, cGMP, ISO 13485, MDR, and global regulatory compliance standards.
• Strong background in supply chain management, inventory optimization, logistics, and OTIF performance improvement.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, digitization, automation, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage large teams of 500+ employees and lead senior stakeholders across multiple geographie
