Job summary

Talworx Solutions in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced VMware ESXi Administrator to manage and optimize a vSphere datacenter in a demanding enterprise MSP environment. You will handle ESXi/vCenter upgrades, performance tuning, and cluster features while ensuring high availability and security.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of hands-on experience, strong ITIL awareness, and relevant certifications. The role requires flexibility to support a 24/7 operations model in India.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of enterprise managed service experience.
• Certifications such as VMware VCP, RHCSA, CCNA or ITIL are a plus.

Job description

What you need to bring:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (or Equivalent).
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Managed Service environment.
• Certification on the latest track like VMware VCP, HPE certifications (ATP/ASE - Server Solutions, Synergy), RHCSA, CCNA, ITIL is an added advantage.
• Flexible to work in 24/7 support environment.

Technical Skills:

• Admin, Operate and Manage vSphere Datacenter.
• Experience in ESXi and vCenter upgrades.
• ESXi command line interface
• vCenter HA, DRS, and other cluster features
• Virtual Machine operations and configurations.
• vSphere Performance Monitoring and Performance Chart
• vSphere Networking, Standard Switch, Distributed Switch (DVS)
• vSphere Storage, iSCSI, FC, Software iSCSI, RDM configurations.
• vSphere security and ESXi hardening.
• Strong knowledge of HPE compute platforms, specifically
• VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
• Resource optimization, snapshots, templates, vMotion, storage vMotion
• HPE ProLiant DL series
• HPE Synergy (Composer, Image Streamer, frames, interconnects)
• HPE Apollo systems
• Experience with iLO, OneView, firmware/driver baseline updates, and server diagnostics
• Understanding of SAN/NAS concepts, zoning, datastores, and virtualization storage integration.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
