Job summary

Cotiviti Hyderabad is seeking a VMware Administrator to manage configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and support of multiple VMware environments. You will set up ESXi hosts, maintain backups and snapshots, and ensure security vulnerability management.

The role focuses on system monitoring, performance analysis, and incident recovery, with responsibility for documenting processes, tickets, and changes, and providing after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities

• System Monitoring and Documentation
• Review and manage automated infrastructure monitoring systems. Identify usage trends and capacity needs; keep IT management informed.
• Develop quality documentation of technical processes and procedures. Document all ticket and project work; ensure reproducible results and close gaps.
• Identify improvements to operational capabilities and IT support processes.
• Recommend implementation standards and provide escalated technical support.
• Monitor and complete tickets in assigned queues; participate in after-hours maintenance.
• Keep IT management apprised of critical issues and risks to projects and tasks; ensure timely delivery.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• VMware administration responsible for configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and overall support of multiple VMware environments


• Setup, install, configure, and triage ESXi Hosts (Rack Mount and Blade Servers).


• Maintain and restore VM backups and snapshots


• Meet compliance for Information Security Vulnerability Management


• Perform Systems Lifecycle management for all equipment, including planning, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, consolidation, and decommissioning of enterprise hardware, and software


• Detects, isolates, documents, reports, and resolves system outages or problems encountered during operations of the operational baseline, which includes collecting diagnostic data, restore the system operation, developing workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of a system


• Performs system monitoring, analysing, documenting performance, and conducting trend analysis as required

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• System Monitoring and Documentation


• Review and manage automated infrastructure monitoring systems. Review allocation of systems and storage to identify usage trends. Keep IT management apprised of system and storage capacity needs.


• Develop quality documentation of technical processes and procedures. Document all ticket and project work. Ensure documentation is sufficient to yield reproducible results. Identify and close any gaps in the existing documentation of the infrastructure.


• Identify improvements to operational capabilities. Recommend improvements to systems and to IT support process.


• Recommend implementation standards. Provide escalated technical support.


• Monitor and complete tickets in assigned queues. Provide after hours on-call support. Participate in after-hours maintenance.


• Keep IT management apprised of critical issues and risks to project completion. Track and complete assigned IT projects. Complete tasks in a timely and quality fashion. Adhere to implementation, quality control, and change control standards.
